After a long boring morning of watching TV, Lenette was cleaning the house with a radio/police scanner running in the background. After an hour, she was about ready to turn it off when they mentioned the runners.
. . . someone believed to have spotted the runner's hide out, a team member installed a security camera soon after. The team will be sent out to investigate in the next three days. . .
Lenette sighed and stuck the broom she was using beside the fridge and left. She dialed the phone she'd given Burke. "Hey Lei, wanna come to my house??"
"I don't have time right now. Besides, you're lucky I happened to leave your phone on."
"No it'll be worth it I promise," Lenette insisted and heard Burke sigh on the other end.
"Are you kidding? I can't right now really."
"Come or I'll put you out of your misery," Lenette grunted.
"Fine, gimme ten." Burke hung up.
Lenette paced outside her door, not too long after Burke arrived, slightly distracted by tying all her red hair back. "Howdy, Lenne. What's so important right now?"
"Come on in," Lenette lead her in, and as soon as the door was closed she said, "They know where you are."
"The CPF?" Burke looked confused.
"Yes the CPF, they'll be at the base in three days. You're going to have to move."
"Again??? Gosh this guys are gettin' good." Burke sighed, "Did they say who found it?"
"Just a member. They had installed a security camera. I dunno exactly how they found it in the first place."
"James. Lenne, I gotta get out of here. I have to warn the team and coordinate an escape route." Burke became a bit frantic. "I'll be back to tell you it went well."
"You could take them here." Lenette suggested, "Remember I told you you could always drag them all here. I'm no longer renting."
"I can't let you do this for me. If they catch us, you'll be in it too."
"Continue." Lenette shrugged. "Why not? It's the least I can do."
"I don't want you in trouble, especially not because of me." Burke insisted.
"Well then, you guys better not get caught." Lenette smirked. "It'll be okay. I have family I can go to."
Burke clenched her teeth, but she couldn't come up with anymore excuses, instead, she just hugged Lenette and left the building.
