There are many people from Isaac's past that still reside in different areas of the city. A large group of these people is called "the insurgents". They were, 10 years ago, a recreational free-runner's group. They delivered small time packages, but mainly just had fun and practiced together. That was back when Isaac was around 16. Isaac had been a member, along with Marco Peschi, and Benjamin himself. several others who will remain unnamed were parts of the group as well. Benjamin is the same age as Isaac, 26, and he still runs with the insurgents. today, the insurgents are a runner group that have since been pushed to the sidelines. they don't represent one political view or another, they're not a cause, but an organization. an organization of Runners and Guns-For-Hire, just in it for the money.
Benji was born to a loving family who supported him in whatever he did. His parents, who were well meaning, always enabled him by gentle praise and love to be the best he could be at whatever he did. Benji, from a young age, showed a natural athletic prowess which he put to the test by being a "free runner" starting at the age of 10. While Benji was fairly decent at the art of displacement, he showed a much greater aptitude toward shooting, which his grandpa had noticed every time benji went to go shooting with grandpa neilser. soon, however, things in benji's life took a turn for the worse.
By the age of eleven, Benji's parents were on the verge of divorce. being an only child, the very thought of his parents splitting hit him hard. he darkened a bit inside, the day his mother walked out on his father. Benji still had a grandfather to live with, so he lived in a small inner city apartment with his living granddad and grandma. soon, his grandma died, and he seemed to not be as affected by it as his grandfather has expected. Benji continued living his life with his grandfather, not showing how saddened he was by the death of his grandma. Benji began competitive shooting as a way of getting out his inner anger, and, as his grandpa didn't know, he joined the insurgents. 1 year before Isaac did. Benji was out more often. some nights he would be out running and not return home. his grandpa was very worried about what he was doing, but dismissed all it as teen-angst or a girlfriend benji wanted to impress. In the years later, benji's grandfather died, and he had to go live with his dad again.
Benji's days with his father were very boring and average for a teenager of 16. he went to school, played (ran) with friends, and kept most of it from his dad. Ben and his dad had a poor relationship, but like a good father, he supported what his son wanted. When Benji was 17, he dropped out of school and asked his dad if he could move in with his friend Isaac. His father was sad to see him go, but happy to see his son moving up in the world. Benji got a job repairing air conditioners in the lower east side of the rapidly changing town. when benji and Isaac were 19, they went their separate ways. Benji got an apartment with his money, and depended on his father and mother to help with bills and living expenses. Benji worked on getting his G.E.D. for a better job, but eventually got sucked back into running for the insurgents. by this time, Isaac was in the NN. he and benji didn't stay in contact. Today, benji is a refrigerator repair man, and an assassin for the insurgents. he lives on a 38th floor apartment in the upper east side.
