New November: The Runners, Behind the Scenes, The Terrorists, The Anonymous, The Old City Runners, couriers of illegal packages from Shady Clients. Antagonised, Pushed aside, Torn Asunder by the "new" government who are blinded by corruption and greed. We are legion, and we will fight
New City Order: The Government, The Operatives, The Decoy-Runners, The New City Taking a new lease on running, we are the change, and we will be the first to reap the benefits of the change that we influence. We stand together wipe away the stain that was the old city.
City Protection Force: The Police, The Maintainers of Order, The SWAT, The Blues Work on the force is hard, and thankless, but each day, we crack down on the city's crime, and contribute to the common cause of a greater, newer city.
Pirandello Krueger: The Mercenaries, The Runner Cops, The Hired Blues, The PK Sometimes, for a merc, getting personally involved in a conflict is hard to avoid. The pay is great, and the cause is just for the most part. Sorry, New November, you will be taken down. Nothing personal, it's just orders.

Additional Factions:
There are several additional factions that either are in 'canonical' ME media (game, comics) but absent from the main list, or which have been created as part of Alex Slater's biography or the Alluvian Connection CYOA story. This thread details what they are and how they've been integrated into the game so far.
This list is presented in alphabetical order, and will be appended as new factions are added.
Alluvia (Sources: Alluvian Connection [obviously], Alex Slater's backstory) Alluvia is a country that was to have been founded by Libertas, had Libertas been successful. However, in a history thread in which Vitalia was not assassinated, Libertas was successful, and so Alluvia was founded, but that timeline is fading from existence as its probability distribution collapses. Within it, Alluvia is a small, but wealthy country that greatly values its freedom and respect for life and its own history. Because Alluvians are so dedicated to defending their freedom, Alluvia has spent a large portion of its budget in maintaining a modern military, as well as remembers and uses Vitalia's discoveries about entropy and quantum mechanics. Presently, the Alluvian military has allocated what dwindling grip on reality that they have supported their military personnel more and more, hoping to reconstitute their nation by seizing the information that generates their reality and reclaiming the City, their capital, by force.
Darkwater Security, or DW (Sources: Alluvian Connection) Darkwater is a private security or paramilitary firm, similar to Pirandello-Krueger. Very little has been established about them short of their existence and that they, along with many other agencies, sent agents to pursue Crag and/or Faith while Faith was transporting specimens to Jay Normal at King Midas University. Due to the hegemony of PK on private security within the City, we can presume that DW is either not as large or important as PK, or that their importance is mostly located outside of the City itself, similarly to Golden Shield.
Golden Shield Security, or GS (Sources: Alluvian Connection) Golden Shield is another security company similar to Pirandello-Krueger involved in 'bolstering City security', which really means enabling the totalitarian City government to take over from public organizations like the CPF who still must ultimately answer to the voters. Due to PK's hegemony on privatized security forces within the City, GS has instead become chiefly involved in a plan by NCO officials to take control over an area of the mainland - ironically, the same area that would have become Alluvia's borders had Libertas succeeded. In addition to managing and deploying personnel, GS is also involved in manufacturing military equipment for PK and their own operatives to use mainly outside of the City. GS also sent agents (along with many other agencies) to pursue Crag and/or Faith while Faith was transporting specimens to Jay Normal at King Midas University.
Mafia (Sources: Wrimo novel, Alluvian Connection, reality) A family-run criminal organization, even a paradigm, which originated in Sicily and then spread to the United States, achieving fame and power initially through selling illegal alcohol during Prohibition. Today, they are worldwide. Their presence and activity in the City is known to have existed and that they used Runners to conduct some of their businesses in their past, mostly relying on areas of Old Town to conduct their operations and store their holdings. Their status at the current time is unknown.
Silvine Security Systems, or SSS (Appearances: ME comic, the Alluvian Connection) SSS is featured in the comic as being the company responsible for the bulk of the electronic surveillance systems in the City, and also maintains a force of security personnel similar to PK. The company itself also includes internal catering services and more (which enables Faith to infiltrate it in the comic). SSS is not depicted in the game. In The Alluvian Connection and in Alex's adventures, it is apparent that SSS is also involved in making something do do with military aircraft, although what is uncertain at this time. SSS also sent agents (along with many other agencies) to pursue Crag and/or Faith while Faith was transporting specimens to Jay Normal at King Midas University.
Vitalia Vitalia was a political and scientific movement in the United States moving for the reattunement of human beings to their natural heritage, including, among many other things, personal independence and self-reliability, learning and preserving the beauty of other life. Ideas initiated by Vitalia were instrumental in founding Libertas, and several important Libertas and November members, among them former lawyer and politician Robert Pope and scientists Jay and Elanor Normal were members of Vitalia before Libertas was founded. Vitalia also made several pivotal discoveries connecting the entropy-destroying properties of living organisms to the virtual particles of quantum mechanics, in particular, partially real timelines. In the history that led to the present roleplay, Vitalia's founder was assassinated by agents of the U.S. government setting up the beginnings of their own police state. However, there is at least one partially real thread in which Vitalia was much more successful, thereby allowing Libertas to have been successful in founding Alluvia.
Yakuza (Sources: Alluvian Connection, reality) A family-run largely (though not always) criminal organization originating in Japan, the Yakuza at one time had a presence in the City offering 'protection' in at least one of the south-city Old Town districts. This protection within the City was not only an extortion, as it also protected people from the CPF and City surveillance, much as the Runners although in a very different way. Like their Italian/American counterpart, the Mafia, the status of the Yakuza in the City today is unknown.
